Terms of Service
What Hadeya sells, how payment works, and what happens if a gift is never opened. Every line below describes what the app and its servers actually do.
1 · Who we are and what this covers
Hadeya is a gifting service for Saudi Arabia. You choose a gift, we buy it, wrap it, and deliver it to someone you name — without you needing to know their address.
These terms cover your use of the Hadeya app, the private claim links we create, and any gift you order through us. By placing an order you accept these terms.
2 · No account is required
You can browse, choose a gift and pay without creating an account. When you first open the app we create an anonymous session so your basket, your people and your orders stay yours.
You may optionally add an email address — after paying, or from the Account screen — so you can reach your orders from another device. We verify it with a one-time code. Adding an email keeps the same account and the same order history; it does not create a second one.
3 · What we sell, and how
We sell physical gifts, delivered in the real world. We do not hold inventory. When you pay, we buy your gift from a shop and arrange delivery.
The price you see on the review screen is the price you pay: the gift, any extras you added, the wrapping option and delivery, itemised. That figure is calculated on our servers, not in the app, and the app is not able to charge you a different one. All prices are in Saudi Riyals.
Once payment has begun, the gift, its extras and its wrapping are locked and cannot be changed through the app.
4 · Payment
Payment is handled by Moyasar, a licensed Saudi payment provider. You enter your card details on Moyasar's own hosted checkout page. Hadeya never sees or stores your card number. We store only the payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded.
Your order is confirmed when Moyasar tells our server the payment was captured — not when the checkout page closes. If you close the checkout before it finishes, the app will say it is confirming and wait for the real answer rather than guess.
5 · The private link and the fourteen-day window
When you send a gift we create a private link and give it to you to pass on however you choose.
The link is valid for fourteen days from the moment it is created. That moment is when you send the gift, which happens before you pay — so if you share the link and pay later, part of the window has already passed. Re-sharing the link does not restart it.
The person receiving the gift is never shown a countdown or a deadline. This is deliberate: we do not want a gift to feel like a demand.
6 · If the gift is not opened in time
If nobody opens and completes the link within fourteen days:
- The link stops working immediately at the fourteen-day mark. Anyone opening it after that sees that it has closed.
- Within the following hour, we cancel the order and request a refund.
- You are refunded the full amount you were charged. We do not deduct delivery, wrapping, extras or any fee — even if we had already bought the gift. The refund is issued to the card you paid with, through Moyasar, and their processing time then applies.
- You will see this on the order in the app.
We do not notify you when this happens. There is no email, text message or push notification for it — you will see it the next time you open the app.
7 · Changing your mind — cancellations and refunds
Hadeya buys your gift only after you pay. Until we buy or start preparing it — and always for at least 15 minutes after payment — you can cancel for a full refund, no questions asked. Contact us and we handle it straight away.
If we have already bought your gift, you can still cancel before it is dispatched: we refund the price minus only the real costs the cancellation caused (such as delivery trips already made or supplier charges we cannot recover), and we tell you the exact deduction before you confirm.
Standard gifts that are not personalized or perishable can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in their original condition, in line with the Saudi E-Commerce Law. You pay the actual return-delivery cost; we refund the rest.
Some gifts cannot be cancelled once we start making them, because they cannot be resold: fresh flowers and food once preparation begins, engraved or personalized items once personalization begins, and assembled arrangements once assembled. An experience card can be cancelled for a full refund within 7 days of purchase if it has not been redeemed; a redeemed card, or a booking made for a specific date and venue, is final.
If a gift arrives damaged, wrong, or not as described — or we miss a promised delivery — we replace it or refund 100% including delivery fees, at our cost. For flowers and food, please tell us within 24 hours with a photo.
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days at most, with no fees; banks may take up to 14 business days to show card refunds. Nothing here reduces your rights under the Saudi E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulation.
8 · If the person does not want the gift
There is no decline button — a gift should not put someone in the position of formally refusing one. If the recipient does nothing, the link expires after fourteen days and you are refunded in full. If they would prefer something else, contact us.
9 · Delivery
Delivery is available in selected Saudi cities. We use third-party delivery companies.
To protect the recipient's privacy, a delivery is split into two separate trips: one driver collects the gift from the shop, another delivers it to the recipient. No single driver is given both where the gift came from and who it is going to.
We do not promise a delivery date or a delivery window. We will tell you what stage your order has reached, and we will tell you when it is delivered.
10 · If we cannot get the gift
If the gift you chose turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and either agree a replacement of equal value with you or refund you in full. Our team does this by hand; it is not automatic.
11 · Privacy
Our privacy policy forms part of these terms. Three promises are worth restating here, because they are the product:
- You will never be given the recipient's address. It is not shown to you, it is not in your order, and our servers are configured to refuse it to you.
- What the recipient tells us stays with us. Their address, their delivery preferences and anything else they answer privately are never shown to you.
- The price is never shown to the recipient. What you paid is yours alone, on every gift, with nothing for you to switch on.
12 · Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate delivery contact details for the person you are sending to.
- Do not use Hadeya to send anything unlawful, or to harass or intimidate anyone.
- Do not attempt to reach another person's claim link, order or private details.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract and to hold the payment card you use.
We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund it, if we believe these terms are being broken.
13 · Things we cannot promise
We provide the service as it is. We do not promise that the app will always be available or free of faults. We are responsible for delivering the gift you paid for or refunding you; we are not responsible for indirect losses such as a missed occasion, hurt feelings or lost opportunity.
Nothing here removes any right you have under Saudi consumer protection law that cannot be removed by agreement.
14 · Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
